A moment of light in a mostly cloudy day at Falzarego Pass. I was freezing mostly because of the strong wind. Temperature was low, but nothing crazy. Strong winds made wandering around the pass pretty difficult though. I was almost giving up and starting to hike back to my car when the same strong winds that I hated until that moment helped clear up the sky from clouds and show this scene for a few minutes. Then, everything went back to white and dark-ish, but the warm that a bit of sun brought on my face and the gentle light with soft colors that enlightened the pass for a few minutes made my day.

I spent last weekend wondering in the Dolomites. I really missed the snow and the white landscape as Winter hasn't really started yet in my area.
I didn't have big expectations while driving up to Giau Pass as I was in the middle of a snow storm with very low clouds. When I reached the pass, it was completely dark, even though the clock said that we where at dawn.
I was almost moving ahead to the next location as I was freezing due to the strong winds, but, as it often happens in the mountains, things cleared up quickly and the wind took a pause, leaving an enchanted scene around me.

I’ve been told about the awesome blooming on Monte Petrano for a few years now, but I never managed to be there at right time until last Spring. I have to say I was blown away by how different that plateau looks like at that time. I loved it so much that I went there four times in a week 😄.
